Job Description

About mymuybueno and the Yacht
Join mymuybueno Private Chefs on an exceptional 45m private motor yacht as Sole Chef for an ASAP start through at least the end of September, with the potential to continue into an exciting Caribbean cruising program through winter 2027. This is a liveaboard owners’ program with a relaxed, low-pressure feel, combined with a truly huge salary package for the right chef.

The owners are onboard regularly but are very chilled and low-key. The season will revolve around quality over quantity: one significant 4th of July event, followed by occasional intimate lunches and dinners with a small circle of friends throughout the summer. From mid-August, you’ll be catering for a team of nine crew who place a strong emphasis on health, balance, and consistency.

What You’ll Be Working On
You’ll be fully responsible for the culinary operation onboard: provisioning, menu design, cooking, presentation, and galley management. You’ll create refined yet relaxed owner and guest dining experiences, while also delivering nutritious, flavour-forward crew meals. You’ll plan around an evolving schedule: summer guest usage, a maintenance period in Thunderbolt, Georgia (Oct–Jan 2027), and then a Caribbean itinerary including Trinidad and wider winter cruising.

The Role & Program Highlights
- Sole Chef role on a 45m private M/Y with liveaboard owners and a calm, respectful atmosphere.
- Huge salary on offer for a capable, independent chef who can hit the ground running.
- Light guest calendar: one major 4th of July party, then casual lunches/dinners for owners and friends every other day or so over summer.
- Very healthy crew culture: focus on fresh, nutritious, and varied menus that keep energy high and morale strong.
- Refit/maintenance period in Thunderbolt, GA from October through January 2027, then heading to Trinidad and cruising the Caribbean for the 2027 winter season.
- Opportunity to lock in a long-term, well-paid placement with excellent future cruising and the stability of an established program.

Why Join mymuybueno?
At mymuybueno, we specialise in placing exceptional culinary talent in roles that truly value their craft. You’ll be joining a program where food is appreciated, service is relaxed but high standard, and the environment is supportive rather than high-drama or high-volume. We champion chefs who care about ingredients, organisation, and professionalism, and we work closely with you and the yacht to ensure a strong fit and a smooth landing into your new role.

Who You Are
You are a confident, organised Sole Chef who thrives when you have full ownership of the galley. You’re as comfortable preparing vibrant, healthy crew meals as you are producing beautifully executed, unfussy yet refined dishes for private owners and their guests. You understand the demands of yachting, can provision cleverly in different locations, and keep your galley immaculate and compliant. You’re ready to pack and fly quickly, bringing a calm, positive attitude and a genuine love of cooking to a tight-knit crew.

How to Apply
If this sounds like the right next step, and you can start ASAP and commit through at least the end of September (with strong potential to stay on for the U.S. and Caribbean program), we’d love to hear from you. Please apply via mymuybueno, ensuring your CV is up to date with relevant yachting and/or high-end restaurant experience, copies of your certificates and references, and your current availability. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted quickly due to the fast turnaround for this position.

- Fluency in English, with a polished and discreet approach to dealing with liveaboard but relaxed owners and their guests
